Jacobus Energy, Inc. is a leader in marketing and selling petroleum products for 90 years, throughout the Midwest and South to both retail and commercial customers. Currently, we have an excellent career opportunity, as a Siebel Technical Analyst, in our Information Technology department located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This is a newly created position. We are in the initial phase of installing and implementing Siebel 8.0 CRM. In this position you will work on the implementation team to design, configure and implement this new system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Configure Siebel Sales and Service application to meet user requirements for Siebel 8.1.1 implementation
- Develop interfaces using Siebel Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Enterprise Integration Manager (EIM)
- Develop data migration programs using Siebel EIM
- Create Siebel workflows reducing the need for customization
- Production support of the Siebel applications running on a Intel/SQL platform
- Provide first level support for users of the Siebel applications by providing specific system and business expertise when necessary to solve production and maintenance problems
- Function as lead technical analyst in evaluating Siebel releases and developing implementation plans
DUTIES:
- Design, develop, code, test, maintain, support and document applications, data architectures, and data structures for business applications, specifically Siebel, Sales, Service and Marketing version 8.1.1
- Utilize Siebel Tools and workflow to perform programming and support tasks, including the debugging and coding of Siebel Business functions
- Perform unit testing of applications to ensure efficient execution and compliance with business and technical requirements
- Perform system tuning using debugging tools and system traces
- Assist in the development, monitoring and testing of interfaces to and from Siebel
- Review, release, and service pack notes issued by Oracle for Siebel to identify changes to be applied
- Develop appropriate testing and implementation plans
- Work with specific departments to provide support for standard and custom Siebel applications
- Participate in acceptance testing to ensure client/user needs are met
- Analyze software requirements to develop technical design specifications
- Analyze new releases of Siebel and act as project manager to implement into production
- Participate in structured, technical, and functional walkthroughs of specifications and programming logic with project team members
- Work with programming staff to resolve problems that arise with existing production applications in a timely manner
- Perform application testing in support of all upgrades, patches, and customizations
- Participation in training sessions, presentations, and meetings as needed
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years of technical experience with Siebel 7.7 (or later)
- Experience working with Sales, Marketing and Service applications
- Must have hands on configuration experience of all general configuration areas of the application from GUI configuration through to integration.
- Experience in Workflow design and development
- Proficiency in Siebel EIM for data migration/integration
- Some experience of server installation and server configuration management
- Understanding of Siebel administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Siebel data structures
- Siebel EAI integration experience
- WebLogic Integration and/or Web service integration is desirable
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Excellent technical problem solving skills combined with strong customer service attitude to assist in operational and system issues
- Demonstrated history of meeting project deadlines
- Ability to define issues and assist with preparation and recommendation of solution alternatives
- Relevant experience or classes in the design and development of application solutions or web-based applications
- Willingness to work on-call as needed (evening and weekends)
- Bachelors degree in the field of computer science
