Currently, we have an excellent career opportunity, as an Oracle Business Intelligence Technical Analyst, in our Information Technology department located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

This is a newly created position. We are in the initial phase of installing and implementing Oracle BI10G Executive Insight Suite. In this position you will work on the implementation team to design, configure and implement this new system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Development of reporting framework within Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition
  2. Setup OBI Users and Security
  3. Define, Implement, and Setup of, Physical, Logical (business), and Presentation objects in OBI
  4. Create and modify Sales Analytics dashboards and reports
  5. Generate necessary templates for the required reports using MS tools as necessary
  6. Development of OBI Reports
  7. Development of Informatica ETL mappings
  8. Production support of the Sales Analytics application and OBI EE platform running on a Intel/SQL platform
  9. Provide first level support for users of OBI EE by providing specific system and business expertise when necessary to solve production and maintenance problems
  10. Function as lead technical analyst in evaluating OBI EE releases and developing implementation plans

DUTIES:

  1. Complete BI lifecycle development from design of the Oracle BI architecture from data sourcing to the end target data structures and presentation of data through dashboards and reports
  2. Develop and maintain ETLs using Informatica
  3. Create custom reports and dashboards
  4. Perform unit testing of applications to ensure efficient execution and compliance with business and technical requirements
  5. Perform system tuning
  6. Review, release, and service pack notes issued by Oracle for OBI to identify changes to be applied
  7. Develop appropriate testing and implementation plans
  8. Work with business units to address reporting and analysis needs
  9. Participate in acceptance testing to ensure client/user needs are met
  10. Analyze software requirements to develop technical design specifications
  11. Analyze new releases of OBI EE/Sales Analytics and act as project manager to implement into production
  12. Work with programming staff to resolve problems that arise with BI applications in a timely manner
  13. Perform application testing in support of all upgrades, patches, and customizations
  14. Participation in training sessions, presentations, and meetings as needed

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Experience in Dimensional modeling (Star Schema)
  2.  Strong experience in Data Integration and ETL development using Informatica
  3. Implementation of OBIEE or Siebel Analytics Applications
  4. Experience with Data Warehouse Administration Counsel (DAC) and ability to customize and extend OBI applications 
  5. Assisted with the design and implementation of at least 1 OBIEE Suite for a BI or Siebel Analytics Application project
  6. Strong server side knowledge and exposure to the installation, configuration and administration of OBIEE suite of products
  7. Strong Development skills in database platforms and Data warehouse design
  8. Experience working with CRM, Financial and Inventory applications is highly desired.
  9. Bachelors degree in the field of computer science
  10. Demonstrated knowledge of Siebel and/or JD Edwards data structures is highly desirable
  11. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  12. Excellent technical problem solving skills combined with strong customer service attitude to assist in operational and system issues
  13. Demonstrated history of meeting project deadlines
  14. Ability to define issues and assist with preparation and recommendation of solution alternatives
  15. Willingness to work on-call as needed (evening and weekends)
